I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made was founded by Linda Cowan Peterson and Herman Floyd Peterson, a husband-and-wife team committed to providing children and youth with a safe, loving, structured, and supportive environment.

Founders

Linda and Herman Peterson

Their experiences as parents, foster parents, educators, mentors, and community members inspired a home where young people can feel safe, heard, valued, supported, and encouraged.

Herman Floyd Peterson

Leadership, mentorship, and service.

Herman served in the United States Army for more than 22 years and later dedicated 16 years to teaching Junior ROTC, mentoring young people in leadership, discipline, responsibility, and character development. He has also served as a foster parent and is a father of biological and adopted children.

Linda Cowan Peterson

Advocacy, care, and belonging.

Linda brings more than 15 years of foster parenting experience, providing care, encouragement, advocacy, and support to children from different backgrounds and circumstances. As a biological and adoptive parent, she understands the importance of helping every child feel safe, heard, valued, and loved.
